Psychedelic 1

In 2005, the Fender Custom Shop launched a new line of psychedelic guitars painted by Pamelina H. Designed in groups of 1 to 10 each, each guitar differs in color and detail. The front and the back of the bodies, necks, and headstocks are painted. Each guitar came with a DVD featuring an interview of Pamelina with Mike Eldred in her studio.

The pickguards and pick-up cover colors are ideas by Pamelina H. Some pick-up covers were painted, but most were constructed using standard black or white pick-up covers.

These guitars are part of the Fractals group who design is loosely based on a fractal pattern. Once the psychedelic colors are added, it looks more like an oil slick. The front of the guitar blends smoothly into a different design on the back. These were painted with Liquitex acrylics.

These designs are part of the Solars group with psychedelic renderings of the sun and its rays. These were painted with Liquitex acrylics.
