In 2005, the Fender Custom Shop launched a new line of psychedelic guitars painted by Pamelina H. Designed in groups of 1 to 10 each, each guitar differs in color and detail. The front and the back of the bodies, necks, and headstocks are painted.
When the work leaves Pamelina's Studio, they're painted bodies and necks with no clearcoat. The guitars shown below are the actual bodies and necks with the hardware added in Photoshop to look like a finished guitar. These guitars are part of the Fractals group who design is loosely based on a
fractal pattern. Once the psychedelic colors are added, it looks more like an oil slick. The front of the guitar blends smoothly into a different design on the back. These were painted with Liquitex acrylics and paintbrushes.
